How did you turn 14 so soon - Son

Dearest Vedu,

Today you are turning 14. It is just so hard to believe. As tears roll down my eyes where did these 14 years go? To me it felt just like yesterday that on the day you were born and when I opened my eyes, papa had you in his arms. When I first held you in my arms, you brought me love which i never experienced.
You came into our world with big bright eyes, and body full of hair.
When you spoke your first word, when you walked your first steps, I was your biggest fan. With every milestone you reached, i was there to celebrate it with you. You taught me the meaning of love, true, unconditional love. I still remember that I would talk nothing but about you.
As you grew older, now you have your own personality, own thoughts and opinions, and your own sense of humor and this year you will transitioning to high school.
I love the person who you have become and the relationship which we have both developed in the past few years of your life. My best friend, my strength, my true love.

As you continue your own journey of adulthood, I have nothing but to share insight with you :
Follow your passion : Be true to yourself in whatever you do.
Follow your own path  : Listen to all, but do what you think is right. Don't get overpowered by anyone's else decision.
Don't be afraid to take risks :Don't worry about right or wrong decisions all the time, sometimes learning from a wrong decision can help you to get to the right path.
Don't take life so seriously  : Make sure you make time to enjoy  - Swim in the ocean, Do yoga at sunrise,  spend time in nature, meditate to reflect on yourself,  travel as much as you can, dance, listen to music, make long lasting friends and eat real food.

Life has it's ups and down and is not always fair, but don't give up. You will still make it through.
I will always be here for you when you need me and i am sure in the coming years our bond will become even stronger and special. You enrich my life with love, and laughter.
I love you Vedu today and forever.

Love,
Mumma
